The communal-educational biotic diversity of Oramanat region, Gelal village project The project which has been planned by the Tree and Child Foundation with the cooperation of Kermanshah's environmental agency in several phases and several months started in May,2014
Gelal village which is a habitat of squirrel, wolf and diffrent amimal and plant species including acron, and benefits from an undisturbed nature and kind people who are eager to help and cooperate, was chosen by Saeed Soleimani the chief of Tree and Child Foundation as the target society for the students after a lot of research.
The goal of the project is to create a sense of responsibty toward the environment and acquiant the students with biotic diversity and its direct relationship with people's lives. In the workshops the students exercised networking and communal works through visual tangible training in the nature with their own participation and being grouped. The students told us many of the local expressiond, games and lyrics, and familiarized us with their culture. In the process of the workshop a pre-test and post-test were contrived to first examine the students' information and then the workshop's influence on their knowledge, whivh has had positive results up to now!
The first phase of the project ended on Friday, May,23rd, 2014 with the presence of Mr. Darvish (chief of the public cooperation office), Mr. Alipour ( manager of Kermanshah's public cooperation office), Mr. Fattahi(chief of Pave's education organization), Mr. Akhgar(chief of Pave's environmental protection agency), Mr. Valad Beigi( district manager Of Pave), Mr. Nouri Ahmadi(district manager of Gelal village) and the students who appreciated the audience by performing the local song "Siah Chamane"
While the students were explaining the food network and biotic diversity and their relationship with their own lives and their importance, Mr. Darvish mentioned the importance of rivers, tarns, forests (specially oak trees) and different animal and plant species through asking and answering questions from the students .
Mr. Alipour encouraged the students to protect the environment by giving them the "environment helper" during his speech. Afterwards Mr. Darvish gave the students the "environment gaurd" card from the Tree and Child Foundation to the students. Mr. Darvish praised and thanked everybody envolved in the project and chose the Tree and Child Foundation as a candidate for the national environmental award. And last but not least, the Tree and Child Foundation shaked the hands of Mr. M. Amini and their respected family warmly for their unfailing cooperation and generosity in the process of the project.
